Conscious breathing creates space in the body and peace in the mind.
How we feel or how we think is a direct result of our breathing. Everyone's breathing pattern is unique and literally can tell us how a person is in life. If it is full, effortless and relaxed, this is usually reflected. If the breathing pattern is not in flow, we lose this connection to ourselves and to life, so to speak.
By practicing deep connected breathing, you reintroduce spaciousness to areas where stress and tension are stored, which can cause stagnation in your breath flow. As you exhale, you literally release tension, allowing relaxation to take hold. This breathing technique gently massages your internal organs and lymphatic system, enhancing the body’s natural restorative capacity.
Mindful breathing not only enhances your oxygen intake, leading to improved athletic performance and overall health, but also creates mental clarity. This practice allows you to identify and address patterns, limiting beliefs, and emotions. With these insights, you gain valuable tools to manage stress and create space for processing past traumas.
Contraindications include epilepsy, a breathing rate above 20 (which we can measure together), heart issues, pregnancy, and a history of psychosis.
